Safety Plan

Thank You in advance in your support to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and allow our teams to play their season.  When any cases/exposures etc are reported to a coach, the coaches will notify our designated 3 person team who will handle each case and work through each scenario appropriately.

Parent & Player Responsibilities

Below are some general guidelines for the parents and players of the 2021 Summer Baseball season for Castle Shannon / Keystone Oaks baseball. Please read carefully and contact your players head coach with any questions.

Parent Responsibilities

  • Speak with your player about COVID-19 and the player guidelines they must follow during practice and game play. (All players must wear a mask in the dugouts)
  • Food, gum, seeds, etc are not permitted in the dugouts or on the fields.
  • Ensure your player has their own water bottle that has their name on it.
  • We encourage you to bring your own chair to games and to practice social distancing while present at practices and games. The outfield fence is a great area to view the game from.
  • We encourage you to wear a mask when within 6 feet of other spectators
  • Limit guests that you bring to games
  • If your player is sick or showing symptoms of COVID-19, do not bring them to practices or games and call your doctor.
  • Masks must be worn if you enter the borough building for the restroom. Non Compliance of this will force the doors to be locked and only have access to the port-a-john.

Player Responsibilities

  • Report any symptoms or sickness to your head coach
  • Cover your face with a mask when entering and exiting the field area and while in dugouts. Masks do not have to be worn during game play.
  • Do not shake hands with the other team after each game. Instead, tip your cap to them in a show of sportsmanship
  • Bring your own water bottle to each practice or game and ask your parent to write your name on it.
  • Do not eat food of any kind during practices or games including sunflower seeds, candy and gum
